I
CORINTHIANS 1:18-21,24,25
18
For the Word of the
cross is to them that perish
foolishness; but unto us
who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And the
discernment of the discerning will I bring to naught. 20 Where is the wise?
Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? Hath not God made
foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For seeing that in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom
knew not God, it was God's good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching (thing
preached) to save them that believe.
V.
24, 25
24
but unto them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is
stronger than men.
ROMANS
1:16; 6:17,18
16
For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and
also to the Greek.
6:17,18
17
But thanks be to God, that, whereas ye were servants of sin, ye became obedient from the heart to that
form of teaching whereunto ye were delivered 18 and being made free from sin, ye became servants
of righteousness.
