HELL

What is hell? Where did it come from? Will we have anything to do with it? Why would God create hell?

These are some of the questions you hear concerning the place called hell. Well, of course, we again have to go to the only place we can for the Truth, God's Holy Word, the Bible! We can't find all the answers we have about hell, because God hasn't revealed them to us, but He has given us some information on it. Don't forget Deuteronomy 29:29: "The secret things belong unto Jehovah our God; but the things that are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law."

Before we begin looking at those Scriptures, we need to understand what the word 'Hell' is actually talking about! The translators of the King James Version mistakenly translated two Greek words (GEENNA and HADES) by one English word (HELL). The word 'Hades' is the region of departed spirits. Yes, there are a few 'mistakes' in the translations of God's Holy Word, but none of them changes the Truth to keep us from properly obeying it!
