Hello _____, Good to hear from you. I'm glad you

Universe on my site! It helps me to keep focused on the reality of God. We have
His inspired Word to guide us, and His beautiful creation to declare His glory
to us!
I'm glad you are studying your Bible. You need to know that the Revised
Standard Version is not a very conservative translation. For example, look at
Isaiah 7:14. The translators of that version were liberal and did not believe
in the miracles of the Bible, so they took license when they could. Here they
chose the word 'young maiden' instead of 'virgin' for the mother of the
Messiah. The Hebrew word is translated by both of these English words, but all
the other translations use 'virgin' because of Matthew 1:23 where the Greek can
only be translated 'virgin'. Just something you need to be aware of while using
the Revised Standard Version.
Yes, memorizing God's Word is good to keep His word in our hearts so we can
apply it to our lives. I'm happy that I am able to help encourage you to study
God's Word and seek to be a 'true worshipper' in His sight. Keep up the good
attitude!
Yours in Christ,
David
