MAN CANNOT DESTROY GOD'S INSPIRED WORD:
Ø
Is there
authority from Christ to teach that the translators have changed God's Word so
that we cannot have the pure Truth from our Creator? (See ISAIAH 55:11)
Scriptures: ________________________________________?
4.
RESPECT FOR GOD'S WORD IS THE TOP PRIORITY:
a. I CORINTHIANS 4: 6 - We
must not go beyond God's written Word.
b.
I PETER 4:11 - Speak
only as the ORACLES (Divine communication) of God. Speak where the Bible
speaks; remain silent where the Bible is silent.
Ø II JOHN 9 -
Go onward and abide not in the teaching (doctrine) of Christ (the New Testament),
do not have God.
Ø REVELATION 22:18,19 - Must
not add to, nor take away from God's Holy Word.
Ø GALATIANS 1:6-10 - We
cannot change God's Word and please Him at the same time!
Ø
MATTHEW 15:8,9 - We
cannot follow the commandments of men. Even if we are sincere, our hearts are still far from God when we try to worship
Him by the authority of men: (Example of Paul having a good conscience, being
sincere, but still being WRONG! - ACTS
23:1;24:16;26:9).
Ø COLOSSIANS 2:20-23. Following man's religious laws will
defeat us from doing God's laws.
Ø MATTHEW 7:21-23
- We must do ONLY
God's will, not man's will. These worshippers of Jesus did many religious works
in His Name, which they THOUGHT were done by His authority. Nevertheless Jesus
will tell them in the Day of Judgment that He never knew them, that is, they
were not TRUE WORSHIPPERS! They acted religiously without Divine authority.
Remember that iniquity is lawlessness, missing the mark, going beyond that
which is written, and we are warned in many places in God's word about
tampering with God's Word.
Ø
JOHN 4:23,24 - "True
worshippers" are the only kind of worshippers God will accept! The true worshipper
MUST worship God in spirit (the inward man involved, not just the outward) and
truth (according to the authority of God for us today, the New Testament).
